The House system at True Cross Catholic School exists to build community and enrich the scholastic experience of our students and teachers. Cutting across grade levels, and across the student-teacher divide, the House system begins in fourth grade when students are inducted into one of three Houses, where they remain until graduation. Each house is led by a faculty House Master and two House Captains. Each House is, in turn, supported by faculty throughout the school, and parish staff . Each teacher and Staff member is assigned to a House and exhibiting House loyalty and pride. Younger students, too, look forward to the day when they, also, will be inducted into a House, with siblings following in the steps of older brothers, sisters, or even parents. The younger students belong to the house of their classroom teacher. At TCCS, we believe that the House system contributes to the broader culture of our school and helps our students grow academically, spiritually, and socially. A House is not only about teamwork, fellowship, and community. It is also a place where students can mentor one another, and where they can support one another as they seek to grow into young men and women of virtue and integrity. Each year, Houses are challenged to excel in athletic, academic, and moral pursuits through a year-long competition.
