This Thursday, November 19, at 6:00pm Harris County Public Health will host a virtual training: "COVID-19 Safety During the Holidays for Parents." This online session is to provide guidance to help families protect themselves and others during the upcoming holiday season. The training will cover how to safely and responsibly spend quality time with loved ones while keeping everyone happy and healthy. Presenters will also provide a high-level overview of other health-related services and resources specific to families. Due to predicted ongoing heavy bands of rain, flash flooding, and unsafe driving conditions for our families and staff caused by Tropical Storm Beta, True Cross Catholic School will continue with remote learning only for Wednesday, September 23. Please remain in contact with teachers for instruction and attendance tomorrow. We will return for in person instruction on our campus on Thursday, September 24. We look forward to seeing everyone then.

Due to the potential for ongoing heavy rains, flash flooding, and winds True Cross Catholic School will remain closed for in person learning Tuesday, September 22, 2020. We will continue with remote learning. Please look for communication from teachers. We will communicate our plan for Wednesday tomorrow. Continued prayers for the safety and wellbeing of our entire student body and staff.

Due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Beta on our families and school, True Cross Catholic School will be closed Monday, Sept. 21 for in-person instruction. We will hold remote learning instruction. Please look for communications from your teachers regarding assignments and contact points. A decision regarding Tuesday will be made and announced Monday afternoon. Please stay safe and well.

There will be no school on Friday, September 18, due to an in-service day for our teachers and staff. Enjoy your extended weekend!

We will dismiss at 12:00pm on Thursday, September 17, 2020 to accommodate parent teacher conferences.  Parents should have received notification from their student's teacher regarding scheduling a phone or Zoom conference.  If you have any questions please contact the teacher or our front office as needed.

We will be dismissing students today at Noon due to the impending storm. Extended Day will be open but we ask that you pick your children up as soon as possible so our staff may also prepare. Dear Crusader Families: We are certain that you have all seen the governor's announcement yesterday that all schools in the state are to remain closed through May 4, 2020. The letter that the Catholic School Office has issued this morning indicating our intention to follow that directive and keep our school closed for all in person education and extracurricular activites through that date is available to view by clicking on the "Closure Extended to May 4, 2020" title above. Please be assured that we will remain with you through all virtual learning avenues that we have and will continue to put in place to support you and our True Cross students. We sincerely miss our students and keep your families in our thoughts and prayers. As we near Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week we ask that you take a few extra moments each day to pray for a speedy end to this crisis and particularly pray for those who are directly affected by the many devastating affects this has brought. May you and your family remain in good health and in positive spirits as we face these unchartered challenges together. Through God all things are possible. Please take a few minutes to watch the message sent this morning by Debra Haney, the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.  Her message is for you as together we navigate this challenging time.

The Catholic Schools Office of Galveston Houston has extended our school closure to April 10, 2020.  This would put us back in our school on the Monday following Easter.

Dear Crusader Families: True Cross Catholic School will be CLOSED next week, March 16 - 20, 2020 to support our communities and health care professionals in the ongoing effort of containing the coronavirus. All extracurricular activities are also canceled through next Friday, March 20.  This decision for all Catholic Schools throughout the Galveston-Houston Diocese was made thoughtfully with input from local health authorities and community leaders in response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 coronavirus situation. By making this decision now, we will help to slow the spread of COVID-19 and assist in preserving the capacity of our hospitals and medical care facilities.   ​​​​​​​We ask that you continue to monitor your emails for information both from our office and teachers as we formulate plans for how best to meet the educational needs of our children during this time.
